It is a sad day when one of the Founding Fathers who helped shape the United States Constitution gets kicked to the curb to make room for some more absurd woke history, making James Madison take a back seat to slavery and racism.
NEW from me and Mary Kay Linge:
The woke makeover of James Madison's historic home of Montpelier was even more extreme than Jefferson and Monticello.

American flags are no longer flying high at Montpelier, Madison’s plantation home in rural Virginia, and there is not one single display that focuses on the life and accomplishments of America’s foremost political philosopher; the man who created our three-branch federal system of government, wrote the Bill of Rights and the Federalist Papers and served two terms as president. This is a man that should be revered and honored; children should be taught about these accomplishments, not lectured on distorted, woke history that is teaching our kids that America is systemically racist.
Visitors going to the historic home of the fourth U.S. President, James Madison, who is also known as the "father of the Constitution," may be in for a disappointment following a "woke" renovation.https://t.co/C4MO6h77wq

Tourists who come to rural Virginia are assaulted by hideous and obnoxious exhibits that focus on Madison’s slaves and current racial conflicts, thanks to a hefty 10 million dollar grant from the left-leaning philanthropist David M. Rubenstein.
“I was kind of thinking we’d be hearing more about the Constitution,” one baffled parent said. “But everything here is really about slavery.”
“It’s been inspirational … I guess,” said another disenchanted and disappointed visitor after taking the $35 guided tour.
Reviewers on social media have been a lot more critical of the disappointing display at Montpelier.
“They really miss the mark,” Greg Hancock of Mesa, Ariz., posted about the museum. “We left disappointed not having learned more about … the creation of the Constitution.”
“The worst part was the gross historical inaccuracies and constant bias exhibited by the tour guide,” complained AlexZ, who visited on July 8th and left his review on Trip Advisor. “Cannot recommend and even wonder why even preserve the main structure at all.”
“A one-hour Critical Race Theory experience disguised as a tour,” said Mike Lapolla from Tulsa, Okla., after he visited the museum last August.
Visitors to Montpelier are limited to just three rooms in the sprawling mansion. The estate “made Madison the philosopher, farmer, statesman, and enslaver that he was,” said a tour guide.
Outdoors and in the house’s colossal basement, dozens of interactive stations attempt to draw a direct line between slavery, the Constitution, and the problems of African Americans today. There is even an entertaining and inaccurate 10-minute video that attempts to link the flooding from Hurricane Katrina, the Ferguson riots, incarceration, and more all back to slavery.
Even John Adams and Abraham Lincoln weren’t spared. Though they never owned slaves, there is another exhibit that damns every one of the first 18 presidents. Adams and Lincoln apparently are accused of having benefited from slavery in some way.
The only in-depth material about the actual Constitution is in a display that pushes the claim that racism was the driving force behind the entire American political system, which is what the entire 1619 Project bases its curriculum on.
Even the children’s section of the gift shop isn’t spared from far-left lunacy with titles like “Antiracist Baby” by Ibram X. Kendi and “She Persisted” by Chelsea Clinton.
Virginia Rep. Bob Good said this abomination of a historical rewrite is “a deliberate attack on those founding institutions.”
“The left is trying to revise our history and is perpetuating a dishonest narrative,” he said.
“This is part of a larger movement to distort the legacy of the Founders and undermine the principles they put forth,” said Brenda Hafera of the Heritage Foundation’s Simon Center for American Studies.
“If you can undermine the Founders, you create the opportunity for those principles to be replaced by something else,” she said — “something like Critical Race Theory or identity politics.” They aren’t even trying to hide what they are doing anymore.
The enemies of truth are bragging that James Madison's home is about to be destroyed the way that Thomas Jefferson's home was destroyed. #CancelCulture #Woke #History #twitterstorians #heritageconservation #heritage #Museums https://t.co/8eLXSnQRy9

This wasn’t Rubenstein’s first rodeo. In 2015 he pledged 20 million dollars to the restoration of slavery project in Monticello when Thomas Jefferson’s home was revamped to become an indoctrination camp. He currently sits on the boards of the globalist World Economic Forum, China’s Tsinghua University, and the Council on Foreign Relations, among others.
