According to Fox News, President Joe Biden had quite a head start with the American press when compared to the likes of former President Donald Trump. When he was first in office he had almost no real interviews that included any kind of “hard ball” questions and his Press Secretary Jen Psaki was (still is) doing most of the talking.
Due to a lack of coverage, Biden’s credibility didn’t take any hits during the first few months that he was in office. Mainstream media reported on anything they could to keep the focus off his degenerating mental faculties during speeches and addresses.
Recently, however, it appears that the mainstream media has finally taken notice of Biden’s ineffective speaking prowess and quite a few missteps on his part, too.
In the same report by Fox they quoted “Meet The Press” host Chuck Todd; “I think he’s got a pretty big credibility crisis on his hands.” They continued with; “The disastrous pullout from Afghanistan, which Biden had insisted would not resemble Saigon. The premature promise that everyone would be able to get Covid booster shots. The growing crisis at the border, where Biden’s policies have become a “magnet” for migrants. These problems intensified “after he said something basically the exact opposite.”

Chuck Todd isn’t the only one doubting in President Biden’s credibility, Gayle King, a known Democrat and supporter of Biden during his election seemed to go after Psaki during a Press Briefing. “We can’t ignore what has happened before. We’re still getting hammered for how the withdrawal from Afghanistan happened..Many people believe it was time. It’s just the way that it was done. So we all agree with that. That’s not a good look. You look at what’s happening with immigration. You look at France now saying that they’ve been betrayed by the United States…What are we doing to justify or explain what appears to be very bad behavior on our part?”
Psaki of course denied King’s assertions and stated that the administration didn’t “see it that way”.
On “The View” one of the hosts named Sunny Hostin proclaimed “I am so disappointed in the Biden administration today. So very disappointed” after she watched a clip of Border Patrol agents shooing off Haitian immigrants with their horse leads.
Back on August 20, 2021, Nation Review begged the question with their headline “Who Will Believe Biden Now” ? In the report they discuss how Biden himself hurt his own reputation and damaged the trust of those that vote for him when he bungled the withdrawal of the United States Military from Afghanistan with deadly results.
When Biden was asked about his and America’s credibility with other nations he said; “I have seen no question of our credibility from our allies around the world…The fact of the matter is I have not seen that. As a matter of fact, the opposite I’ve gotten…The exact opposite. We’re acting with dispatch. We’re acting, committing, doing what we said we would do.”
In fact, on September 17, 2021 it was announced that France was so angry with the US over a deal Biden oversaw with Australia, that they brought their ambassador back home. The French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated; “This exceptional decision is justified by the exceptional gravity of the announcements made on 15th September by Australia and the United States.
“The cancellation of the Attack class submarine program binding Australia and France since 2016, and the announcement of a new partnership with the United States meant to launch studies on a possible future cooperation on nuclear-powered submarines, constitute unacceptable behavior between allies and partners, whose consequences directly affect the vision we have of our alliances, of our partnerships and of the importance of the Indo-Pacific for Europe.”
While NPR stated that France would send back their ambassador, it was made evident that France intends to have many more discussions about the nuclear-submarine deal made behind their backs over the coming weeks.
We later found out that Chuck Todd would be OUT at Meet the Press in what some people consider to be a demotion of sorts, but it’s likely to be called a shuffle.
