Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just embarrassed himself and his entire country on national television by proving beyond the shadow of a doubt he’s a total wimp. Trudeau was holding a press conference when he broke down crying in front of reporters.
This will give you guys a bad case of the ick. No grown man should be crying in front of the press during a routine press event. Good grief. How do you spell “weak?”

The boohoos come just a couple of weeks after the prime minister announced he was resigning from his position and would step away as soon as the government chose his successor. As of this writing, an election is scheduled for March 9.
“On a personal level, I’ve made sure that every single day in this office, I put Canadians first, that I have people’s backs. And that’s why I’m here to tell you all that we got you,” Trudeau remarked as his voice began to crack right in front of reporters. “Even in the very last days of this government, we will not let Canadians down.”
Oof.
As kids today say, that’s cringe.
“The dramatic moment follows revelations that Trump directly challenged Canada’s border treaty in a February phone call, expressing his dissatisfaction with the shared water agreements between the two countries. Trump, who has consistently criticized Trudeau’s leadership, has ramped up the pressure, particularly as trade tensions between the U.S. and Canada have resurfaced,” Trending Politics News reported.
Trudeau’s resignation, announced on January 7, sent shockwaves through Canadian politics. The prime minister, who has led the Liberal Party for over a decade and held office for nine years, admitted to “internal battles” within his own government as a factor in his decision to step down. With his popularity in free-fall and key allies abandoning ship, his tenure is ending in a chaotic scramble to find a new leader before the next election.

Pathetic.

In late 2024, President Trump imposed a 25% tariff on all imports from Canada and Mexico, linking the move to concerns over illegal immigration and drug trafficking, particularly fentanyl. The tariffs, which took effect on March 4, triggered swift retaliation from Canada.
How did Trudeau’s administration opt to respond? Instead of taking action and personal responsibility for their problems becoming our problems, they slap equal tariffs on a number of imported U.S. goods such as vegetables, shoes, clothing, perfume, and liquor.
The prime minister tried to defend the course of action as being necessary to protect Canadian industries. And if you thought tensions were high during at this point, the president’s next comment took things to a new level.
Trump suggested that if Canada wanted to avoid the tariffs, they could become the 51st state of our nation. The idea went over with Canadians like a lead balloon.
“There isn’t a snowball’s chance in hell that Canada would become part of the United States,” Trudeau said. Conservative opposition leader Pierre Poilievre echoed the sentiment, stating, “Canada will never be the 51st state.”
Whoever the new leader of Canada turns out to be, let’s hope they possess an actual backbone.
