Former President Donald Trump brought the Republican Party Convention to a close last night with what might be the best speech he’s ever delivered in front of a live audience. To be honest, I don’t know if you can call it a “speech.” It was more like a conversation. Trump spoke openly about the assassination attempt made on his life almost a week ago. His tone was more unifying and he seemed far more humble than we’re used to seeing.
That doesn’t mean he wasn’t still tough on the issues though. Trump still told the truth and discussed the issues that were important to the American people. He’s running for president, after all. But you could tell the incident last weekend changed him in some way. And honestly, it seems the changes are positive.
In fact, when CNN held a panel to get the reaction of undecided voters to the speech, one individual gave the chat an A, going on to say, “The thing I was looking for was a change, and I felt I heard that change in his voice.”

What this means is the speech resonated with American voters. The vast majority of individuals in this country are just regular people who hold to a set of values and principles rather than loyalty to any political party. People of this kind want to see someone put the country first, far and above beyond other nations around the world. After all, if we can’t take care of ourselves, our own people, how can we be of any help to those in other places around the globe? We can’t. And that’s a fact.
X user Rob Coates weighed in on the speech by saying:
People are digging this “new, humble” Trump. He was already sounding more calm and collected at the debate and after this past weekend.. I think that really shook him up a bit. I’m proud of him and thankful he’s still with us.

Another individual said:
It’s the elder statesmen Trump. He sees his place in history. I think he has been humbled by this experience. We arises a better version of Trump.
Think back to the heroic things we’ve read about George Washington, Abe Lincoln, and many others. We’ve gotten to witness an extraordinary moment in U.S. history, one that could change the course of this nation for many years to come.
America is at a crossroads. We have to decide which way we want to turn, if we want to turn at all, and choose what kind of nation we want to be. I think Trump is helping to make the decision a bit easier.
