Dana Bash, anchor for everyone’s least favorite fake news network, CNN, actually did her job as a journalist on Sunday, confronting the deplorable California Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff concerning allegations he politicized intelligence information when he was the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Which he absolutely did, using his political power and position to launch an assault on President Donald Trump as a means of trying to get him removed from office, simply because his political beliefs were different from his own.
And that’s the kind of people we are currently up against. Those of low — or no — moral character.
TheBlaze is reporting that last week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a California Republican — a sight as rare as a unicorn blasting Skittles from its hindquarters — booted Schiff from his position on the House Intel Committee. The new speaker said that the reason for Schiff being removed is due to his allegedly politicizing intelligence access — he had access to national secrets other members of Congress did not — could end up being a threat to national security.
During an interview on “State of the Union,” Bash pushed Schiff over a totally unsubstantiated claim he made concerning former President Donald Trump and Russian collusion.
“You said that there was direct evidence of the fact that Donald Trump colluded with Russia back in 2016,” the CNN anchor pointed out.
“The CNN host then quoted directly from special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, exposing the glaring contradiction between what Schiff promised and what Mueller found (or didn’t find). The report said, ‘The investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government,'” the report stated.
However, unlike most decent human beings, Schiff was not at all sorry for his conduct.
He went on to make the claim that Mueller issues “no conclusion on whether Donald Trump and his campaign colluded with the Russians” before once again stating there was indeed collusion between the two aforementioned parties.
When Schiff attempted to move the conversation forward, saying, “this is only one of a shifting series of rationalizations and pretexts that McCarthy is using” against him, Bash fired off another allegation at him, allowing him no quarter.
“Let me give you another,” she continued. “Ahead of the first Trump impeachment, you said the committee had not spoken to a whistle-blower. “In fact, that turned out not to be true,” Bash pointed out, explaining that even the Washington Post fact-checked his claim and ruled it false.”
“Schiff responded by admitting that he ‘should have been more clear,’ but still defended himself and claimed there exists no real reason for him to be removed from the House Intelligence Committee. Schiff claimed McCarthy is retaliating against him because he has been ‘very effective in exposing [McCarthy’s] misconduct,'” the report said.
Schiff provided no further clarity on that allegation.
“Instead, he repeatedly charged that McCarthy’s decision is a ‘pretext’ against Democrats because he is ‘so reliant’ on support from ‘extreme members’ of the House Republican caucus,” the report concluded.
