CNN, a news network that has a well earned reputation of being completely bonkers since selling their souls out to be propaganda producers for the left-wing in America, got mocked viciously after making the ridiculous statement that if you are a white person who shares memes and GIFs featuring black people, you are a racist because you’ve used “digital blackface.” The writer of this sad, sorry excuse for a think piece then claimed that digital blackface is “one of the most insidious forms of contemporary racism.”
So is it racist for black people to use memes featuring Latinos or Asians? Is this is a standard that is being applied fairly across the board, or is it just another excuse by the radical left to pander and criticize white people? Either way, this is pathetic.
According to TheBlaze, “CNN senior writer John Blake claimed that black people sharing GIFs of other black people ‘get a pass.’ However, Blake said that white people are not allowed to share GIFs or memes of black people.”
“But if you’re white, you may have inadvertently perpetuated one of the most insidious forms of contemporary racism,” Blake continued in the article. “You may be wearing ‘digital blackface.'”
“Digital blackface is a practice where white people co-opt online expressions of black imagery, slang, catchphrases or culture to convey comic relief or express emotions,” he added.
Blake cited an article from Teen Vogue published in 2017 that was penned by Lauren Michele Jackson who said that the “internet thrives on white people laughing at exaggerated displays of blackness.”
We also tend to laugh at exaggerated displays of whiteness, but no one seems to bring that part of the discussion up, do they? Exaggerations are funny. That’s the point. Why is it so horrible to laugh at stuff that is funny? The left has zero sense of humor.
Jackson then described digital blackface as “displays of emotion stereotyped as excessive: so happy, so sassy, so ghetto, so loud… our dial is on 10 all the time — rarely are black characters afforded subtle traits or feelings.”
Blake stated, “Many white people choose images of black people when it comes to expressing exaggerated emotions on social media – a burden that black people didn’t ask for, she says.”
Jackson remarked, “No matter how brief the performance or playful the intent, summoning black images to play types means pirouetting on over 150 years of American blackface tradition.”
Jackson offered some advice to white folk, telling them to uses GIFs featuring Taylor Swift instead of ones with black people in them. Or, how about I use the GIF that best sums up what I’m trying to convey or the point I’m attempting to make? That sounds like a much better idea.
Yeah. I like that a lot. I think I’m just going to do that.
The article from Blake said, “But critics say digital blackface is wrong because it’s a modern-day repackaging of minstrel shows, a racist form of entertainment popular in the 19th century.”
Blake then cited a passage from an essay written by Erinn Wong that said, “Historical blackface has never truly ended, and Americans have yet to actively confront their racist past to this day. In fact, minstrel blackface has emerged into even more subtle forms of racism that are now glorified all over the internet.”
He then added, “Historical blackface has never truly ended, and Americans have yet to actively confront their racist past to this day. In fact, minstrel blackface has emerged into even more subtle forms of racism that are now glorified all over the internet.”
And here’s how the folks of Twitter gloriously responded:
Chad Prather of TheBlaze said, “Go to time out and think about what you said.”
Emmanuel Rincon said, “Congratulations, this is the stupidest thing I’ve read in all of 2023. You guys really outdo yourselves on a daily basis.”
“So I guess we just throw context and intention out the window and claim everything is racist from now on? Way to create more division. The stupidity of the trash you push out there to the masses is off the chain CNN,” Speaker Joel Brown.
Journalist Glenn Greenwald tweeted, “The modern-day segregationists do everything possible to keep people divided by race, prevent them from having joyful and natural interactions, ban them from appreciating the culture and humor of others, and in general demand that they have as little in common as possible.”
Political commentator Ben Shapiro said, “When the demand for racism radically outstrips the supply.”

There was a lot more responses, but that gives you a sense of how the whole thing was viewed by the general public. It’s ridiculous and stupid. That’s all. Goodnight, ladies and gentlemen.
