S.E. Cupp, a political commentator with everyone’s favorite spreaders of fake news, CNN, stated on Thursday that Democrats are focusing hot and heavy on the issue of abortion — or as I like to refer to it, child sacrifice — in order to “save” them from having to face the truth about both the horrid condition of the economy and the spike in the crime resulting from soft-on-crime policies and a wide open border.
On Wednesday evening, during the third GOP primary debate, former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley stated that she “welcomes” states to preserve the right to life, she’s also willing to accept that “the people decided” to vote in favor of legalizing the procedure. Yeah, I’m just not ever willing to accept that some people want to murder other people and just let that go. Abortion is barbaric, evil, and totally disgusting. If you cannot protect the most fundamental right someone has, the right to life, how can you preserve the other rights granted to us by God?
“Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, on the other hand, called for a 15-week federal abortion ban. Both answers came just one day after voters in Ohio enshrined abortion rights in the state constitution,” the Daily Caller said.
“S.E., it felt like some of these answers were prepped way before Tuesday’s election and were not adjusted after Tuesday’s election,” CNN host Sara Bolduan went on to say during the segment. “Why?”
Cupp went on to stated during the interview that had she been the moderator, she would have spent more time during the debate discussing abortion.
“I would have done 20 minutes on abortion … Republicans seemingly wanting to die on this hill are in fact dying. They are losing elections over and over and over again, because abortion is saving Democrats from, you know, crime, the economy, the border crisis — Democrats are using this very effectively,” Cupp explained. “And so, I don’t think any of the candidates really had to take that on, and talk about whether they’ve learned those lessons or how they would go on to win in a general election when the majority of the country, including many Republican voters, are not with the far right on this issue.
Well, Ms. Cupp, I hate to be that guy, but the reason so many Republicans are willing to die on this hill is because children are also dying on the proverbial hill, by the thousands. And again, if you can’t preserve their right to life, you certainly can’t protect any of the others. Seems pretty simple. The modern generation of youngerish Republicans really don’t seem to grasp the moral implications of baby murder and that’s scary.
Are babies not worth saving? They are people. Human beings. To get a little religious, they are image bearers of the Creator who made the universe. To murder someone is then an affront to the Creator Himself. Being an image bearer means having intrinsic value and worth. When a person aborts a child, they are saying they are worthless garbage. Is that the kind of people we want to be as a nation? Unfortunately, quite a few folks seem to be okay with that.
In my opinion, if you are going to choose a hill to die on, this is the one to pick.
