Danica Patrick, a former driver for NASCAR and IndyCar, is not making any apologies for loving her country and sharing right-of-center political beliefs, despite a massive wave of hate and backlash she’s received from the radical left. Good for her. We need more folks who have a lot of pull and influence in our culture that share in pro-American values and principles, to stand up boldly for what they believe in and not allow radical leftists to shame them for being conservative.
The only strategy progressives have for keeping their side of the aisle in line and on board with their extreme hive mind groupthink is to mercilessly make fun of anyone who dares to think differently. Stop caring about that and they lose all the power they’ve convinced you they hold over you.
According to a report from the Daily Wire:
Patrick earlier this month took heat from leftists when she posted a photo of herself and her sister at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) conference. Leftists said in response that they were disappointed in the athlete, would unfollow her, and consider her “canceled.”
“Y’all are losing your damn minds over my Turning Point post,” Patrick said in a post that was published on her Instagram stories last week. “Here is where I stand with some current issues and politics.”
“I am not a liberal,” she stated on social media. “I am somewhere between Republican and independent. I think our country should be run by someone that knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely. I don’t think our food and skies should be poisoned. I think it’s bulls*** that Democrats can be proud but a Republican can’t in society.”
“As a result, there is so much propaganda that penetrates mainstream media,” Patrick added. “I love this country and I have lived other places. I believe when people of different opinions speak face to face we realize we are more similar than different. I don’t believe everything anyone says.”
Patrick then went on to state that over the last few years, she’s gone back and forth over whether or not she should really care all that much about politics or if she should just ignore the madness and live her life the way she wants.
“I have been doing the [latter]. The reaction today is definitely interesting … since all I said was, I love this country,” she said.
In her original post, Patrick added photos from the conference, including a photo of MAGA hats, and captioned it: “Sister came to town to check out [TPUSA] with me! Dad replied to our pic with – perfect daughters. 😜 we do love our country…. so AMfest (America fest) makes sense. 🇺🇸.”
“Unfollowing you now,” one Instagram user commented, as another wrote, “Had no idea you were MAGA. Glad you posted this so I know to unfollow and stop supporting anything you’re associated with.”
“Lost my support. I kinda liked you ’till now, what a joke,” said another comment.
“Wow, another person disconnected from reality,” someone else stated in the comment section. “Ohh such a [disappointment]! I was a huge fan until realizing your personal beliefs! Another foolish cult believer! CANCELED!” read another reaction.
