There is a clear and concerted effort to keep former President Donald Trump from facing off against President Joe Biden in the general election later this year. How else do you explain the massively long list of charges that have been brought against him in four different indictments? Or the fact that liberal groups have managed to get him at least temporarily booted from the Republican primary ballot in several states, including Colorado, Maryland, and Illinois? It seems pretty evident that the left wing in this country is terrified of another Trump term in the White House.
Thankfully, Trump is not the kind of guy who takes this sort of thing lying down. He’s a fighter, someone dedicated to stopping the destruction of our nation by progressive policies that are designed to recreate America according to Marxist principles. But wait. Marxism doesn’t work, right? You know that. I know that. The left knows that. They’re insane, which is why they keep trying the same thing over and over expecting different results.
The former president is now battling for his right to be on the ballot in Illinois by filing an appeal against a judge’s ruling that employed the use of the 14th Amendment’s insurrection clause to have him taken off of it.
via Just the News:
Former President Donald Trump appealed an Illinois judge’s ruling that disqualified him from the state’s Republican primary ballot over his alleged involvement in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol Riot due to the 14th Amendment’s insurrection clause.
Cook County Circuit Judge Tracie Porter issued the order Wednesday, but paused the decision from going into effect to give Trump, the likely GOP presidential candidate, time to appeal. Trump’s attorneys filed a notice of appeal dated Wednesday asking the court to “reverse and vacate the judgement,” which would nullify the order, per Axios.
In her ruling, Porter cited the Colorado Supreme Court decision banning Trump from the ballot. The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments earlier this month in the Colorado case. A similar effort to disqualify Trump is moving through the Maine courts, with a final decision on that case expected after the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the Colorado case.
The appeal in Illinois comes a day after Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign spokesperson said on Wednesday, “Today, an activist Democrat judge in Illinois summarily overruled the state’s board of elections and contradicted earlier decisions from dozens of other state and federal jurisdictions.”
Just a month ago, the Illinois State Board of Elections determined, unanimously I might add, that they did not have the jurisdiction to decide whether or not Trump should be on the ballot due to the 14th Amendment. And yet, here we are.
Leftists are scared of Trump. That’s the bottom line. If he is given a second four year term, he will focus hot and heavy on dismantling the deep state apparatus within our government, particularly in the Justice Department, along with focusing on our economy and healing the damage done by the Biden administration.
