In a recent interview with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade, former President Donald Trump stated that one of his biggest concerns at the moment is about the safety of his family and others who are connected to him or support him in some way, following the two assassination attempts made on his life in just 90 days.
Back on July 14, 2024, during a campaign rally held in Butler, Pennsylvania, Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire and shot Trump through the ear and also killed one person in attendance, a retired firefighter. The second incident occurred just a few weeks ago at his golf club in Palm Beach, Florida.
When Trump was asked by the Fox News host if he worried about the safety of his family after these two incidents, the former president replied, “I do. I do.”
“I don’t talk about it, but I do. I have to worry about family. I have to worry about everybody. I worry about you,” he added, meaning Kilmeade, who is a Trump supporter.

Trump said that the millions of illegal aliens that the Biden-Harris administration allowed into the U.S. have also made the country significantly more dangerous.
“Look, we’re under siege and no country has ever suffered like we have for the last three-and-a-half, almost four years,” Trump explained. “When they allow millions of people to come into our country, from prisons, right? From prisons. And terrorists, and people from mental institutions, and they take over our parks. Look at New York – you can’t play Little League baseball anymore.”
Trump also addressed the forthcoming vice presidential debate, saying that he does not expect that his running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), will get a fair shot from leftist CBS News moderators Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell.
“He won’t get a fair shot. But he will handle it very good,” the former president added. “I think he’s done great. People are really liking him. He’s tough, smart, he loves our country. He’s going to have no trouble.”
We’re living in a time when people are more mentally unstable than ever before. I believe a big part of this has to do with the bombardment of news and political opinion we experience on a daily basis. Our news cycle is now 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Social media inspires constant conversation on topics of the day. We are trying too hard to be omniscient, like God, knowing everything, having an opinion on every topic and issue. It’s overwhelming.
People are constantly being spoon fed propaganda and fake news, upping their stress as they argue with strangers online. Over time, this, plus the pressures of life in general, just become too much and some folks snap.
It’s why we need to all take a break sometimes, an extended one, and get away from the fray.
