President-elect Donald Trump revealed Wednesday that he has nominated former acting U.S. Attorney General Matthew Whitaker to be the U.S. Ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also known as NATO. One of the greatest things about Trump and NATO is that he forces the other countries who are participating in it to actually pay their dues like they agreed to do when they joined instead of relying on America to pick up the tab and defend their backsides too.
“Matt is a strong warrior and loyal Patriot, who will ensure the United States’ interests are advanced and defended,” Trump went on to say in a statement. “Matt will strengthen relationships with our NATO Allies, and stand firm in the face of threats to Peace and Stability – He will put AMERICA FIRST.”
You just know any leftist who read that statement was ready to explode when they got tot he “America first” portion. People absolutely hate the idea of this nation thinking of its own people and interests above those of the world. Of course, those individuals have a globalist mindset, which actually accomplishes the exact opposite of the goals the left is after, but nobody ever said you had to possess a brain to be a liberal.
Every family puts its own members first before trying to help people outside of that unit. It’s common sense. You take care of your own people first. And then what is left you use for the good of others. This is simple morality. And it’s the way things have been ever since the beginning of time. You cannot go against objective truth and win. Progressives refuse to learn this lesson.

Trump said that he had full confidence in Whitaker’s ability to represent the U.S. and promote “peace through strength” and freedom around the world. Whitaker, a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A., MBA, and J.D. Whitaker received a Big Ten award while playing college football as a tight end for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1988-1992.

Whitaker has strong foreign policy views when it comes to Russia, having warned of its attempts to interfere in U.S. elections and that it would continue its war of aggression in Europe unless NATO stands together. In a 2022 interview with Fox News, Whitaker said that heavy weaponry needed to be sent to Ukraine immediately to assist the country in its fight against invading Russian forces.

There’s little doubt in my mind that Whitaker will be a key player in helping Trump negotiate with the other nations who are in NATO and possibly help him with Ukraine and Russia in the process. We all know there’s a lot of critical work to be done with that particular skirmish, especially now that President Joe Biden has inflamed the situation by greenlighting attacks by Ukraine inside Russia using missiles provided by the U.S.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that he is now more ready to consider the use of nuclear weapons against Ukraine, which could launch us into a third global conflict before Christmas. Thanks, Biden.
