A new piece from Stephen Dinan that has been published by The Washington Times, discusses how liberals just can’t seem to handle the aggressive nature with which President Donald Trump is completely dismantling the infrastructure they have spent the last four years putting up under the Biden administration. He’s doing a total bombardment of everything they put in place to help usher in yet another step toward turning the United States into the nightmare vision of a dystopia ripped from the pages of “The Hunger Games,” inspired by socialist Karl Marx.
Leftists are reacting to the swiftly moving actions of the Trump administration in a variety of different ways, as Dinan points out. Some are pledging to resist anything and everything the president does during his term and are holding training camps to educate those in their hive mind on how to do just that. Others are taking a more active approach by turning to cours and hoping judges will provide a break in the slaughter from the mountain of executive orders Trump has signed since taking office several weeks ago.
And then you have the ones who are taking steps to fortify their mental health in order to survive the term without ending up in an insane asylum. I say why put off the inevitable. Just go ahead and crack up now and get locked away. One less Democratic voter to screw things up.
Opportunists raving like televangelists argue that the way to political salvation is to give, give, give in cold, hard cash. “We need your help,” Our Revolution, an outgrowth of Sen. Bernard Sanders’ presidential campaign, said in a fundraising email begging supporters to pony up money to try to derail the confirmation of Mr. Trump’s Cabinet picks.
Abortion rights groups said they needed money to pay for more security at clinics and for more attorneys to argue the lawsuits they figured to file. “That’s why we need your help. Now. Today. This hour,” said the Feminist Majority Foundation, adding that contributions are tax-deductible.
Grappling with Mr. Trump began in the hours after the November election, but his first weeks in office exceeded what many liberals feared. Marc Elias, a campaign lawyer who has worked for Hillary Clinton and Joseph R. Biden, told his followers that he had been inundated with questions about how Trump resisters should react. His ideas included supporting “independent media,” not holding Democrats to a higher standard and speaking out against Republicans at every chance, including on social media, at book club meetings and at family dinner tables.
Elias has tried to keep the spirits of his fellow radical leftists out of the dumps by telling them to hold tight to hope.
“We are in for a long fight and must build and commit to an opposition movement that will stand the test of time,” he commented. “We must understand that this will not be over in one election or with the defeat of any one candidate. This is the fight of our generation, and it will take time.”
One of the biggest actions that Trump has taken that is leaving liberals shook is immigration. There are a ton of groups out there who are holding “field protection strategy” seminars to equip activists to resist against ICE agents and deportation operations. There are also know-your-rights sessions for immigrants who are scared they will get deported.
“Some groups in the Los Angeles area have set up a hotline to report immigration arrests. Lawyers and activists will investigate and determine whether anything can be done,” the author of the piece wrote. “RootsAction, one of the first groups to press for Mr. Trump’s impeachment during his first term, is taking a boots-on-the-ground approach this year. Its RootsCamp promises to train liberal warriors to ‘fight to resist Trump’s agenda.'”
Dinan then said that psychologists are sharing coping strategies for progressives who are now experiencing an increase in anxiety since Trump is in office. Which is ridiculous because the only thing he’s doing is protecting the country, improving the economy, and increasing freedom. Once upon a time, these used to be good things, but not in liberal America.
Some of these “coping strategies” include doing acts of kindness, smiling at strangers, crying, and exercising.
With people this weak inside and out, is it any wonder our nation is not that great right now? Yikes.
