Many of you have probably read the George Orwell masterpiece, “1984,” have noticed how our American government has begun to resemble that of Big Brother in the pages of the dystopian nightmare, which was written as a warning against totalitarianism. However, it seems the radical left thought it was a playbook for how they could go about realizing the utterly insane, absolutely bonkers, and not even remotely realistic fantasy of perfecting humanity and creating a “utopian” society.
A good case in point is an opinion piece that was published early on Monday morning by The Washington Post, which featured a writer claiming to be President Joe Biden, putting out a political statement that could have been ripped right out of the pages of Orwell’s finest work, calling for reform of the Supreme Court after they issued the 6-3 ruling on presidential immunity earlier in July.
via The Western Journal:
In a July 1 ruling that did little more than acknowledge the constitutional separation of powers, SCOTUS affirmed that presidents enjoy immunity from prosecution for acts undertaken in their official capacity. In other words, the ruling made it highly unlikely that the Biden administration’s diabolical lawfare against former President Donald Trump would result in a conviction prior to the 2024 election.
Unhinged liberals immediately screeched about “threats to democracy,” thereby projecting their own tyrannical inclinations onto Trump and the Supreme Court.
Then, just two weeks later, we see massive failures from the Secret Service detail that was assigned to protect former President Donald Trump at rally in rural Pennsylvania where he was nearly assassinated, receiving a bullet wound to the ear. Very strange happenings indeed.
Not long after that, following an immense amount of pressure to drop from the 2024 presidential election after receiving major criticism for his awful debate performance against Trump in June, Biden announces, in a post on X no less, that he’s pulling out of the race.
Democrats then create a work-around so they don’t have to consult the American voters, and install Vice President Kamala Harris as his replacement for the Democratic Party nomination. Ever since that announcement, the media, which wasn’t exactly on good terms with Harris, has now been pushing propaganda practically hailing her as the best thing since sliced bread.
Which brings us to the WaPo piece were Biden calls for a “constitutional amendment called the No One Is Above the Law Amendment.” I just have to ask, Mr. President, does such act include politicians in high office who have children that are getting by with slaps on the wrist for committing felony crimes? How about high-ranking officials who abuse political power in order to line their pockets with fat rolls of cash?
Asking for a friend.
“It would make clear that there is no immunity for crimes a former president committed while in office. I share our Founders’ belief that the president’s power is limited, not absolute. We are a nation of laws — not of kings or dictators,” Biden went on to say in the article.
Does anyone really believe that Biden wrote this? Come on now. We aren’t fools. Biden can’t even put a coherent sentence together and we’re supposed to believe had the mental clarity to write up this piece? I don’t think so.
Biden — or whoever wrote this schlock — then called for term limits for justices on the bench, along with a “binding code of conduct.” The Western Journal points out that in order for any of these measures to become law they would have to be done via constitutional amendment, which is extremely difficult to get done.
According to the National Conference of State Legislators, Republicans outnumber Democrats in state legislatures by a massive margin, 4,026-3,264. The GOP also controls 28 state legislatures compared to 20 for Democrats.
Thus, Biden’s proposals appeared in the Post for the sole purpose of advancing the establishment’s Orwellian narrative.
And yet, we’re supposed to buy into the narrative that Trump and the Supreme Court as it stands today are hellbent on destroying democracy? Really?
I’m not buying what you’re selling, Mr. Democrat. And I don’t think the folks of America, who you seem to think are stupid, are either.
