Once again, the leadership of President Joe Biden proves to be a spectacular failure when it comes to doing his actual duty to protect our national security. He’s jeopardized our country by allowing the border we share with Mexico to essentially be undefended, which opened the door to millions of illegal migrants coming over to the United States. This has led to a significant spike in crime and a drain on our resources.
And now, he’s putting us in harm’s way by lifting a ban on the sale of offensive weapons to Saudi Arabia, which is due to take effect sometime in the next few weeks. The administration has been signaling for some time now that it was ready to lift the ban, according to reports from The Financial Times, who cited an individual who is supposedly “familiar with the matter.”
Here’s more from Yahoo News:
Soon after taking office in 2021, Biden adopted a tougher stance over Saudi Arabia’s campaign against the Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen, which has inflicted heavy civilian casualties, and over Riyadh’s human rights record, in particular the 2018 killing of Washington Post journalist and political opponent Jamal Khashoggi.
Saudi Arabia, the biggest U.S. arms customer, has chafed under those restrictions, which froze the kind of weapons sales that previous U.S. administrations had provided for decades.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday said the U.S. and Saudi Arabia were very close to concluding a set of agreements on nuclear energy, security and defense cooperation, the bilateral component of a wider normalisation deal with Riyadh and Israel.
I hate to sound like a cynic, but I just don’t think you can trust a majority Muslim government located in a region of the world that is known for expressing extreme hatred for the United States, its people, and our way of life. So much is happening behind the scenes that we don’t know about it, so much information we don’t have in our possession.
How do we know there aren’t actors within the Saudi Arabian government who would, oh, I don’t know, orchestrate some kind of “incident,” like a robbery, that would lead to these weapons they purchase falling into the hands of our enemies, all the while receiving a little kickback from said thieves? Maybe I’m just paranoid.
However, lifting the ban on offensive weapons sales were not directly linked to these talks, FT said. The White House and Saudi Arabia’s government communication office did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
Have you noticed just how much Biden goes out of his way to deal with unsavory individuals in the Middle East? Like Iran for instance? The Democratic Party has been doing everything possible to plan their lips firmly on the backsides of a nation and government that routinely heads to the streets to chant, “Death to America!” This is all inspired by a religious ideology. Muslim beliefs cannot be separated from the actions of their government and their people because the one leads to the other.
No amount of butt kissing will make Iran like us. The left needs to stop trying.
