A high school located in the state of Illinois has been slapped with a civil rights complaint after they were accused of offering several math classes restricted to students based on skin color, according to a report from the Daily Caller.

“Mark Perry, Senior Fellow at Do No Harm, a medical watchdog group, filed a civil rights complaint against Evanston Township High School for allegedly offering several algebra, calculus and precalculus course codes open only to students who are black or ‘latinx.’ The complaint, filed to the Chicago Office for Civil Rights, identifies several class codes that are ‘restricted to students who identify as Latinx, all genders,’ or restricted to students who ‘identify as Black, all genders,’ according to the 2023-2023 course catalog,” the report revealed.

As part of the 2023-2024 school year, the high school is offering students “AP [Advanced Placement] Calculus AB” which is equivalent to ‘one semester of college calculus,’ though the class code is ‘restricted to students who identify as Black, all genders,’ the course catalog showed. An identical course allegedly limits its enrollment to students who “identify as Latinx, all genders.”

In January, Evanston Township School District’s board of education chatted about how it would start to address the low enrollment of what they called “students of color” in accelerated courses, according to a report from the Daily Northwestern. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction for the district, Pete Bavis, made the suggestion that the school offer the kids attending the school identity-based courses in order to make the accelerated classes more accessible to groups that they feel is underrepresented groups.

“The number of civil rights complaints filed to the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights hit a record high in the last year; from October 2021 to September 2022, complaints alleging discrimination in the nation’s schools almost doubled from the previous year, with nearly 19,000 filed, according to The New York Times. Most of the complaints name discrimination on the basis of race and sex,” the Daily Caller said.

Guys, this is how you create division, which is a skill the radical left has mastered. You take a group of individuals and you set them aside as a protected class, giving them privileges regular people don’t have. This takes the so-called “protected class” and makes them “Other,” to the majority. Soon bitterness and anger toward the protected, privileged group infects those who aren’t given those same opportunities, and then you have racism.

The radical left is creating more and more of the very thing they are attempting to destroy. Progressives are so zealous about trying to perfect the fallen, imperfect mankind that they end up doing the exact opposite. And yet, for whatever reason, they re so deluded by their efforts that they refuse to acknowledge what they are doing does not work.

But if you dare to say anything to folks who participate in this way of thinking, you’re a bigot who just hates underprivileged people and children. That could not be further from the truth. But you cannot help kids by making things easier for them based on the color of their skin.

Also, how is it not racist to assume that kids of a certain color cannot rise to the occasion and with hard work get into AP classes? Yikes.

Now that DeSantis has officially put himself in the presidential race, who will you be voting for?(Required)
