Scott Jennings of CNN was highly amused on Wednesday afternoon while watching President-elect Donald Trump announce a number of picks for cabinet positions, referring to this transition team the “most entertaining” that he’s ever witnessed with his own two eyes. I have to say he’s right. Each person Trump picks is excellent, but beyond that, what makes the picks so good is how much the left freaks out over it all. You know, a guy like me is hydrated by liberal tears. And I’m just drinking them up by the gallon right now.
While appearing on “News Central,” a program on CNN — which is having a massive ratings crisis at the moment — Jennings shared his thoughts and opinions on the announcements made by Trump during the afternoon, which included Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican, for U.S. Attorney General. You just know leftists all across the country whipped out their phones and started recording video content of themselves screaming their guts out when that one was announced.
“Are you not entertained?” Jennings asked, according to a report from The Daily Wire. “I mean, this is the most entertaining transition I’ve ever seen. I was as surprised as Paula because it was not a name we have seen. We have seen some reporting, a lot of different names, frankly a lot of sort of well-heeled Washington legal types that were on the list. So, I’m as surprised as anyone.”
“But what I take away from this is that this is a president-elect who is feeling his power,” the conservative pundit added. “This is someone who is appointing people to things, whether it is Gaetz or anyone else we have seen today, who is feeling his influence, doesn’t feel like he’s in a mood to negotiate with people in Washington, D.C. He’s here to do what he wants to do, and he is going to expect the Republicans to fall in line.”
Jennings then reminded the viewing audience that the picks Trump has made still have to go through confirmation hearings and be approved just like everyone else.
“But it is apparent to me that Trump is in a decisive mood and is not interested in picking things he would consider to be watered-down,” he then said. I believe the reason for that mood is that he’s free to do what he wants this time around, knowing he won’t have to seek reelection. He can take chances that he wanted to take last time but felt he couldn’t.
