Sunny Hostin, one of the screechy co-hosts of the worst talk show to grace morning television, “The View,” confessed during Wednesday’s episode that, despite all of the talking points pouring out of the White House and the propaganda pushed by the media, there’s some legitimate evidence to suggest President Joe Biden and several members of his family — including his son Hunter Biden — have been involved in an influence peddling scheme.
If you’re familiar with the diehard leftist leanings of practically every person on this show, you know how shocking Hostin’s statement really is. I’m surprised she wasn’t immediately canceled for daring to question the integrity of the president, especially with his current reelection campaign up and running. Could it be possible some of these less than intellectually astute individuals in Hollywood are waking up?
Maybe a little. I wouldn’t get too excited. The vast majority are still gulping down the progressive Kool-Aid.
Check out the details from the Daily Wire:
Hostin and her co-hosts discussed the impending impeachment inquiryinto the president — largely focused on his tenure as vice president — and she conceded that he may have been helping or at least allowing his son Hunter Biden to trade off the family name.”
Sunny Hostin admits there's evidence that Joe and Hunter were selling influence via the VP office but argues Trump was much much worse.
"I understand there's real concern there but what is upsetting to me is that…[the] Republican Party is trivializing what impeachment is." pic.twitter.com/gil6v1Sefv— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) September 13, 2023
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin led off, saying that she believed there had been “impropriety” and some “misrepresentations” from Biden and his surrogates regarding what he had done during that time – or how much he had been aware of what his son was doing – but she stopped short of supporting the Republicans’ plan to impeach.
“I have yet to see … something that’s evidence of a crime,” she added, pointing out that the standard for impeachment was supposed to be “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
You know, there wasn’t a shred of evidence to support the idea that former President Donald Trump committed any “high crimes and misdemeanors” either, but that didn’t stop the left in Congress from trying to utilize impeachment as a political weapon against him, did it?
“People are going to be shocked, I completely agree with that,” Hostin responded. “I think that there has been some — shocking, right? I think that there has been some impropriety. I think that there are instances where Hunter Biden, in an attempt to show access to the vice presidency, the vice president’s office, made phone calls to ‘Daddy.’”
“I think we have the situation with [Hunter Biden’s] work in Ukraine, we have the situation with his work in China, there’s no way that political influence wasn’t a part of that,” Hostin remarked during the episode.
“I don’t like nepotism across the board,” she continued, changing the direction of the digs toward Trump. But you weren’t talking about Trump, Sunny. You were talking about Biden. Stay focused. Obviously, she felt she had to make this clarification, otherwise, her fellow liberals on the panel and in the viewing audience would be furious with her.
“I understand there’s real concern there but what is upsetting to me is that … [the] Republican Party is trivializing what impeachment is,” Hostin complained, arguing that Biden was likely going to be impeached for things that did not approach the level of “high crimes” and insisting that the accusations against Trump regarding the Ukraine phone call were far worse.
While it’s clear Hostin still has hatred in her heart for Trump, at least she’s willing to acknowledge, even slightly, that some untoward has been going on with the Biden family. It’s a start.
