Daily Wire Makes Request To See Nashville Shooter’s Manifesto, Here’s How Local Police Responded

Conservative news outlet The Daily Wire recently requested that the Nashville police allow them to see a copy of the manifesto written by the biological female transgender shooter who opened fire in a local Christian school, killing three children and three adults. However, the police rejected the request made by the outlet. What’s in there that they don’t want the rest of the world to see? Are they helping to hide this manifesto because it demonstrates the shooter was highly motivated to carry out this evil deed due to progressive ideology? If this were a right-wing shooter, that manifesto would’ve been made public right off the bat.

“On Friday, the Metro Nashville Police Department denied a public records request from The Daily Wire, which is also based in Nashville, for the manifesto and journals, replying ‘The investigation is still an open case. … Once the case is closed, please re-request at a later date,'” the report said. “It is unclear what the open case is seeking to learn, since the perpetrator is dead.”

City Councilman Robert Swope had previously informed the outlet that there would be no legitimate reason to withhold the manifesto once the investigation was closed. I mean, the shooter is dead, so what more is there to investigate? Are there other individuals who are connected to this horrific act? If so, doesn’t the public deserve to know about it so they can take measures to better protect their children?

David Rausch, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director, stated that officials discovered several documents which include a detailed plan along with “some journal-type rantings.”

Metro Nashville Council Member Courtney Johnston said that the chilling level of detail in the plan was being used as justification to withhold it, saying ‘That document in the wrong person’s hands would be astronomically dangerous,'” the Daily Wire continued. “But that doesn’t explain not releasing rantings that could give insight into the shooter’s motives, which came as trans activists were angry at Tennessee legislators for passing laws dealing with radical gender ideology.”

Nor does it explain the FBI’s involvement. The FBI would only have jurisdiction if it was a hate crime or domestic terrorism. But Elizabeth Clement-Webb, a spokesperson for the Memphis Field Office of the FBI — which includes Nashville — told The Daily Wire shortly after the shooting that the FBI was merely offering some assistance and ‘at this time it does not appear to be federal,'” the report added.

If the rantings and ravings of the now deceased shooter are not made known, the public will not know if the FBI ignored compelling interest of a hate crime. All of the missing information is causing the shooting to lack its proper context. This was a hate crime, an act of terrorism, which is defined as “Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”

President Joe Biden’s Justice Department has consistently tried to characterize Right-wing domestic terrorism as the most severe and dangerous threat that our nation faces right now, despite the fact left-wingers are the ones on top of the most-wanted domestic terrorist list.

We need to know the details of this twisted psychopath’s ideology and worldview. That will help us to classify what this crime was all about and provide insight into how we might prevent it from happening again.
