Billionaire Elon Musk, owner of both social media platform X and Tesla, stated on his own account just last week that he firmly believes the whole political Left will soon be aflame with anti-Semitism. And you know what? Given my own experience on the platform, I can say with confidence he’s probably correct. I’ve never seen so much intense hatred for the Jews in my whole life as I have since the October attacks in 2023. Each day the conflict between Israel and the miscreants in Hamas continues, the anti-Semitism gets worse and worse.
Musk’s comments were made while he was replying to a post that was shared by Shai Davidai who is Jewish and works as an assistant professor at Columbia University. He was denied entry at the school’s campus last week.
“When all is said and done, and those who excuse, support, glorify, and identify with Hamas and the Islamic Jihad are removed from @Columbia and other U.S. colleges, I will not be happy,” Davidai wrote in his post. “I will be relieved. But I will also be disappointed. Disappointed by the complete lack of leadership at @Columbia and @Harvard and @Yale and @CUNY and @Stanford and @UCLA and @UCBerkeley and @Penn and many other U.S. colleges.”
“Disappointed by media outlets like @NYTimes and @60Minutes who, for six months, have been playing ‘both-sidesism,’ downplaying the risk of antisemitism and terrorism, and giving Hamas supporters airtime,” he added. “Disappointed by the mayors of New York City and Chicago and Los Angeles and New Haven and Boston and Palo Alto and many other American metropolis who care more about polling averages than about doing the right thing.”
Davidai then stated that he was highly disappointed with Columbia University and others who decided to just “look the other way” and ignore all the incidents of anti-Semitism happening on the campus and the growing hatred for Jews.
“I’ve been personally warning about this for six months and none of your listened,” he went on to say, according to the Daily Wire. “I’m just glad you’re listening now.”
Musk then replied, “The young on the left are obviously already openly anti-Semitic. As they grow in seniority, this will become the entire left.”
Here’s more from the report:
The remarks come as numerous anti-Semitic demonstrations have erupted at college campuses across the U.S., including some of the country’s most elite universities.
At many of the demonstrations, protesters have shown support for designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTO), including Hamas and Hezbollah while others chanted the slogan that appears on ISIS’ flag. There have also been numerous protests where people have chanted “intifada,” a call for violent terrorist attack against Israel and its supporters.
The sad reality is, despite what many of us thought, anti-Semitism didn’t really die out after Hitler and the Nazis lost the Second World War. Far from it. It sort of became taboo for awhile, which is good, but alas, thanks to the spread of progressive thought, we’ve witnessed its resurgence in our modern era. Let’s hope hearts and minds are changed and young people are woken up from the stupor they’re under.
