Those who suffer from a raging case of Trump Derangement Syndrome have seemingly developed a brand new set of symptoms that have caused the hatred in their hearts and souls to extend beyond former President Donald Trump to now include members of his family, including his son, Eric. Trump’s middle son was recently the target of vitriol for posting about how much his family has sacrificed in order for his dad to be president the first time around in 2016, and all he’s going through now to try and get another term in the White House.
Apparently this made people mad because the social media post was made on Memorial Day, a holiday set aside for our nation to remember the men and women of the armed forces who have given their lives in order to preserve our freedom. And yes, maybe the way the post was phrased wasn’t great given the day, but it’s hardly worth being dragged over.
Not to mention the vast majority of those who are giving Eric Trump a hard time are those who don’t actually possess a patriotic bone in their bodies and could not care less about celebrating our military. They are simply hypocrites looking for an opportunity to take shots at the former president, hoping they can make him and his family look bad and convince voters not to cast a ballot for him come November.
Here’s more from the Daily Express US:
On X, Eric shared another user’s post which included a photo of the Trump family with the caption, “the family that gave up everything to save America”.
“And we will do it again!” Eric replied.
The post was quickly slammed by critics who deemed it inappropriate, given Memorial Day should be about honoring America’s fallen soldiers.
“Your family has sacrificed nothing, your name will become synonymous with “Benedict Arnold” and how dare you tweet this, THIS weekend,” Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an ex-Air Force second lieutenant stated in response to Trump’s post.
Kinzinger is widely known for abandoning conservative principles after contracting a raging case of TDS, so excuse me if I don’t take his critique of Eric Trump’s principles seriously. If you want to slam someone for not standing by moral ideals, you should probably stick to your own. You know, practice what you preach and all that.
“You don’t know the first thing about service, you child,” he added.
Bill Kristol, another man who claims to be conservative, referred to the post as “particularly disgusting on Memorial Day.” Keep in mind, Kristol is a Never Trumper and very much an establishment hack. I don’t think for a second that Eric Trump meant to demean the sacrifices of the heroes who gave everything to protect our liberty. He’s trying to help his father campaign. This was likely done without realizing how it sounded. Was it the wrong time to post such a message? Probably. Is the message wrong? Nope.
“The families that gave up everything for this country have family members buried at Arlington. How tone deaf can you be? It’s Memorial Day weekend…we are remembering those who actually did give it all,” one user replied.
Particularly disgusting to post this on Memorial Day weekend. https://t.co/cBifiFOmkY

Last week, Eric Trump was accused of using Memorial Day for a “cash grab”, after advertising a 30 percent off sale on Trump merchandise.
“We are honoring our brave men and women this weekend,” he stated in a post published on Instagram.
“Using veterans to profit and grift,” one user rsponded in the comments.
Meanwhile, closing arguments are expected in Donald Trump’s criminal hush money trial when court resumes on Tuesday in New York. Prosecutors called 20 witnesses. The defense called two. Mr Trump decided not to testify on his own behalf.
The jury will then decide whether prosecutors have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr Trump falsified his company’s business records as part of a broader effort to keep stories about marital infidelity from becoming public during his 2016 presidential campaign. He has pleaded not guilty and denies any wrongdoing.
The left is always on the lookout for another way to express their TDS, aren’t they?
