Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was booted from the Trump election interference case by Georgia’s Court of Appeals on Thursday, which is yet another big win for President-elect Donald Trump in what appears to be a series of bogus legal cases brought against him as a means of taking him out of the running of the 2024 election. It was a politically motivated tactic that failed miserably.
If’ you’ll recall, Willis hired her lover, Nathan Wade, to be a special prosecutor in the case against Trump and then allegedly benefited financially from the arrangement. That, my friend, is called “corruption.” Look it up. Every Democrat in this country will have a picture listed as an example.
“This is the rare case in which disqualification is mandated and no other remedy will suffice to restore public confidence in the integrity of these proceedings,” Judge Trenton Brown stated in the ruling, which was made by a three-judge panel.
Being disqualified from the case means Willis will not be able to lead the case against the president-elect in Georgia, though it remains to be seen how this case will go on when another prosecutor takes it over.
“Fani Willis was just disqualified by the Georgia Court of Appeals. Trump appears to be running the table in these lawfare cases,” law professor Jonathan Turley wrote in a post on X. “It will now be up to another prosecutor as to whether to continue the case.”

via The Daily Wire:
Turley noted that Willis, while “attempting to bag Trump,” “created an absurdly attenuated RICO theory that should not be embraced by the new prosecutor.” “While this disqualification is due to the conduct of Willis and not the underlying claims, any new prosecutor will have to make an independent judgment on whether and what to prosecute,” he wrote.

The professor added that Willis “spent copious amounts of time and money” clinging to the Trump case, while “most prosecutors” would view continuing it as “undermining her office and not serving the interests of the public.”
“Willis was so invested in playing this high-profile lawfare role that she was willing to suspend prosecution and endanger the case itself,” he remarked. Turley then pointed out that Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAffee provided Willis with a golden opportunity to save face by withdrawing from the case, however, she refused, which then led to the appeal that ultimately led to her being booted anyway.
…Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAffee correctly criticized Willis for her decisions and creating "an appearance of impropriety." However, he left it to Willis to do the right thing and withdraw. She did not and forced this appeal…

In this world, you reap what you sow. Willis engaged in corruption and now she’s paying the price for it. Democrats tend to think they are above the law, that there are no consequences for their actions. This is a stark reminder that’s not the case. Especially now that a new sheriff is about to come into town next month. Those who engage in the kind of behavior that Willis did need to be held accountable for their actions. Nobody should be above the law.
