On Thursday, Leo Terrell, a contributor with Fox News, announced on social media that he would be leaving the network in order to accept a new role ins the Trump administration. No offense to Fox, but that’s a heck of an upgrade. Working for a president is a huge honor, but to serve with President-elect Donald Trump, who might turn out to be one of the greatest presidents in our history, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
According to The Daily Caller, Terrell took to his X account where he said that, effective immediately, he will now be serving as the senior counsel to the assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. Whew, that’s a mouthful. Terrell has served as a contributor with Fox News for four years.
Fair minded friend I have a special message to share. I will be leaving Fox News and joining @realDonaldTrump in Washington. I will be once again be working for Civil Rights for all Americans – this time in the Department of Justice. Thank you to Fox News for having me on the… pic.twitter.com/FWtq8cTzEr

Terrell explained his new role, revealing he will be working closely with Trump and Pam Bondi, along with many other key officials in the president-elect’s cabinet in order to address civil rights issues and help make sure there is fairness in law enforcement departments all over the U.S. Trump himself has promised to clean up the DOJ and oust the deep state to ensure that justice once again become a foundational American value. Appointing Terrell is part of that plan.
“This is an honor. And for those people who have heard me articulate my views on the equality of law and treating everyone fair, help is on the way. For those people who believe that the system was used illegally against certain groups because of their political views, help is on the way,” Terrell says of the new position.
“Terrell was originally a staunch Democrat and liberal commentator, but he made a political shift in July 2020 when he announced his support for Trump, marking the first time he supported a Republican presidential candidate. He said his transformation was motivated by his dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party’s direction and policies, which he said no longer represented his views or the best interests of the African American community,” the article said.
It’s great to see the incoming president picking excellent people that are highly qualified for their positions in his cabinet. He has grown as a leader since his first stint in office and he seems determined to do an even better job governing the country than he did during his first administration. And cleaning up the Justice Department is a must. Deep state actors must be removed if we want to preserve our precious liberty.
It’s well past time for the DOJ to get an enema.
