Michelle Obama Has Officially Entered The 2024 Race

I think we all knew that, at some point, former first lady Michelle Obama was going to get into the 2024 presidential election. We just didn’t know when or how. Well, our questions concerning all of that have now been answered. Several days after announcing she would be throwing her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris for president, Obama called every left-wing celebrity she could possibly reach and jammed them into a video pushing Americans to register to vote.

The video is pretty much as bad as you probably imagine it to be. It was put out on Sunday and features a plethora of radical progressive celebrities, the vast majority of whom probably have less than one fully functional brain cell.

The list includes:

  • Retired soccer player Megan Rapinoe.
  • Actress Kerry Washington.
  • NBA stars Steph Curry and Chris Paul.
  • TV producer Shonda Rhimes.
  • Country music singer Reyna Roberts.
  • “Nonbinary” social media personality Bretman Rock.

“Hey, it’s Michelle,” she said in her staged phone call. “Are you voting this year?” Everyone enthusiastically replies that they will vote in November. Obama then looks into the camera and urges viewers to register to vote through her advocacy group, When We All Vote, which claims to be nonpartisan.

“We are just 100 days away from the general election,” she said. “From our local elected officials, to ballot measures on reproductive rights, the environment and our economy, our future is on the ballot.”

The brilliant minds of the internet — I’m saying that with honesty, not irony — took to social media platform X where they blasted Obama’s ad to pieces for all of the extremely awkward corniness it contains. This thing is cheesier than Kraft’s mac and cheese in a box so it deserves all the ridicule it is getting.

For those that don’t know, there’s a bit of a running gag on social media that Michelle Obama isn’t really a woman, but a transgender who was formerly known as Mike. Yes, I know. The internet comes up with some really weird, but hilarious theories and bizarre takes on issues of the day. It keeps things spicy.

This get-out-the-vote ad is as half-hearted as the Obamas’ lackluster phone endorsement of Harris last week shortly after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. In both instances, the Obamas literally phoned it in. That said, Republicans should not assume that just because Harris is incompetent, former President Donald Trump can coast to victory.

Former President Donald Trump, who just a couple of weeks ago survived an assassination attempt, is up against a formidable opponent. No, I don’t mean Kamala Harris, the actual Democratic Party nominee, but the apparatus that is behind her. This coalition is made up of establishment media, academia, Wall Street types, and, of course, goons from the entertainment industry.

While Harris might not be all that popular and has no real accomplishments to her name in her political career — except for failing in the one and only task she had, which was containing the border crisis — there are still, unfortunately, a lot of gullible Americans who are falling for the false narratives and propaganda being pushed by the left.

In short, don’t get complacent. Don’t just assume we have the victory in the bag. Fight as though we’re far, far behind. That kind of effort will never be wasted.
