Controversial MAGA Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is about to be given a brand spanking new role in the incoming Trump administration that is going to drive the mentally ill liberals in this country straight to the funny farm. And I, for one, cannot wait to see her roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty. According to a report from The Washington Times has revealed that House Oversight Committee Chairman Jim Comer is placing the Notorious MTG in charge of a new subcommittee that will be working hand-in-hand with the Department of Government Efficiency.
And that means she’s going to be helping to investigate waste and fraud concerning government spending and coordinating with the heads of DOGE, Elon Musk — owner of X and SpaceX — and Vivek Ramaswamy. This is like a team of superheroes tasked with helping to reduce our national debt and saving our tax dollars for legitimate purposes. Man, I feel like this has been something that’s long overdue.
The committee also will examine ways to reorganize federal agencies, improve efficiency and cut red tape. Lawmakers have already met with Mr. Ramaswamy, according to a person familiar with the plan. The oversight panel’s portfolio includes the federal civil service and the status of U.S. officers and employees. Mr. Comer, Kentucky Republican, plans to create additional subcommittees in the coming weeks.
The DOGE-related panel is notable because it gives Ms. Greene — a vocal Trump ally — a prominent role in enacting Mr. Trump’s agenda. The subcommittee also links Capitol Hill to Mr. Trump’s DOGE, which will operate as an outside commission but coordinate with the White House Office of Management and Budget. Mr. Trump has offered scant details about what he wants to cut from the government’s $6.75 trillion annual budget.
Musk has vowed to cut, hack, and slash $2 trillion in spending, starting with trashing the Department of Education — yes, please — and gutting National Public Radio. Neither of these institutions provides any real value for Americans. Children are being indoctrinated at school with curriculum that normalizes sexual deviance and NPR only pumps out pro-Democratic Party propaganda. Good. Riddance.
“The entrenched and ever-growing bureaucracy represents an existential threat to our republic, and politicians have abetted it for too long. That’s why we’re doing things differently,” Mr. Musk and Mr. Ramaswamy went on to write in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal. “Unlike government commissions or advisory committees, we won’t just write reports or cut ribbons. We’ll cut costs.”
