Actor Jim Caviezel, who is most well known for his portrayal of Jesus Christ in the hit faith-based movie, “The Passion of the Christ,” recently sent out a message to thank fans for their support of his newest film, “Sound of Freedom” as it passes the $150 million mark at the box office. Keep in mind, this movie was made on a shoestring budget of $14 million. In other words, this is a massive, massive success.
According to the Daily Wire’s latest report, “In a post to X on Thursday, the 54-year-old actor expressed gratitude for those who have supported the film, which deals with the horrors of human trafficking. It comes from Angel Studios, the same studio responsible for the popular faith-based television series, ‘The Chosen.'”
“Thank you for supporting Sound of Freedom!” Caviezel said in the post. “Thanks also for all the prayers for me – I’m feeling much better and am energized by all the awareness that we’ve brought to the issue of child trafficking. God’s children are not for sale!”

In total, as of this writing, the movie has brought in a stunning $155,000,017 at the close of business on Wednesday.
“Throughout our fourth weekend, audiences have continued to show up and support SOUND OF FREEDOM, and our theatrical partners have given us ample real estate to meet that continued demand,” Brandon Purdie, head of Theatrical Distribution at Angel Studios, stated in a press release from last weekend, going on to estimate the movie would pass $150 million.

The film has been performing well at the domestic box office, staying ahead of the highly-anticipated summer blockbuster led by Tom Cruise “Mission:Impossible-Dead Reckoning Part One” and “The Flash.” The seventh “Mission:Impossible” film earned, as of Wednesday, $143,350,787 while the DC superhero film had brought in $107,975,616.
In “Sound of Freedom,” which is based on a true story, Caviezel portrays Tim Ballard, a federal agent who quits his job and embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue a young girl from sex slavery in South America.
In July, the studio announced that the hit film will soon be released globally, appearing in theaters in South Africa, Australia/New Zealand, Latin American countries, the U.K., and Ireland between August and October, a release read. More countries are being added weekly, it added.
One of the reasons the film is proving to be so successful is that it is exposing the darkness in our world and is presenting a horrific issue as it really is, leading many to rally behind its message, regardless of their political leanings. That, of course, hasn’t stopped liberals from loathing the film and doing their best to discourage people from seeing it. Why would they do such a thing?
Well, they claim the movie pushes “Qanon” conspiracy theories concerning underground Satanic child trafficking rings, but that’s not the case. In reality, it pushes back against the narrative that it is okay to expose kids to sexual deviancy in culture and in the classroom. In other words, its message interferes with their indoctrination of our children.
