The mainstream media is still chock full of leftist bias as so-called “journalists” continue to push anti-Trump narratives, proving that Trump Derangement Syndrome is indeed not a joke, but an actual, honest-to-goodness mental illness that the chemically imbalanced progressives in this country are suffering from. Any time former President Donald Trump opens his mouth, the MSM creates spin to make him seem like the worst thing to grace the political landscape since Adolf Hitler, despite everything they say about him being provably false. Yet President Joe Biden, a man who can’t walk up a flight of stairs without tripping over himself or making up some sort of story where he rambles on and on about something that didn’t even happen, gets the royal treatment.
And yet, we’re supposed to trust the talking heads in the media and just assume what they tell us is true. I mean, maybe that would be the case if they had a track record of presenting facts and not attempting to brainwash their viewers that request would be a little more reasonable. But in the current context it’s not.
During an interview on Tuesday with Sean Hannity on Tuesday during a town hall event held in Davenport, Iowa, Trump cracked a joke that triggered the media, which then launched into a panicked frenzy about how the former president was threatening to be a “dictator” if he were given a second administration.
“I wanna go back to this one issue because the media has been focused on this and attacking you,” Fox News host Sean Hannity said during the event, according to the Western Journal.
“Under no circumstances — you are promising America tonight — you would never abuse power as retribution against anybody?” he asked Trump.
“Except for Day One. I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill,” Trump responded. Hannity then noted that actually doing his job to secure the border and help get the country back on track to be energy independent is not at all “retribution.”
Trump: "He says 'you're not going to be a dictator are you?' I said no no no, other than Day 1. We're closing the border, and we're drilling drilling drilling. After that, I'm not a dictator." pic.twitter.com/SZU6KiYd2l

“I love this guy,” Trump replied. “He says, ‘You’re not going to be a dictator, are you?’ I said: ‘No, no, no, other than Day One. We’re closing the border and we’re drilling, drilling, drilling. After that, I’m not a dictator.’”
Hannity came back once again reiterating that Trump fulfilling his campaign promises to put the country first is not at all being a dictator.
“That sounds to me like you’re going back to the policies when you were president,” the Fox News host said. This was all clearly just joking and jesting on Trump’s behalf, but the media, as usual, took it all seriously. Well, they probably knew it was just a joke, but for the sake of the clicks and spreading more fear about the former president, CNN ran with the headline: “Trump sidesteps question when asked if he plans to abuse power if reelected.”
Following their lead, CNBC‘s headline read, “Trump says he won’t be a dictator if elected, ‘except for Day One.'”
A super spooky headline crafted by the wordsmiths at the Associated Press warned: “Trump declines to rule out abusing power to seek retribution if he returns to the White House.”
They aren’t even hiding the fact that they are propagandists anymore. The audacity these outlets possess to just openly, brazenly, twist up what was said by Trump is astounding. So sure are they that their viewers won’t engage with original sources on what the former president actually said they just twist and spin the comment without providing any real context. Shameful.
Tsk, this is very telling.

According to Gallup, American trust in mass media institutions has tanked. Trust is down across all political demographics with the Democrats being the sole exception; this is an industry ripe for disruption.

Here’s more from the report:
But just as they did during his presidency, the legacy media continue to take the most negative, sinister interpretation of anything Trump says. This might be understandable if they applied the same harsh, exacting standard to Biden’s numerous epic gaffes. But they don’t, and that’s why they deserve the public’s contempt.
As we approach the start of the New Year and the official launch of the 2024 election cycle, we cannot lose focus on what’s at stake: The United States is in an existential struggle to retain its status as the world’s preeminent superpower. Biden’s destructive presidency has ushered in crippling inflation, terrifying crime waves, daily border invasions and escalating geopolitical conflicts.
In short, the doddering 81-year-old career politician has done next to nothing to improve the lives of struggling Americans. And he certainly has not earned the privilege of leading the nation.
