On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump revealed he has been told by special counsel Jack Smith that he is currently a criminal target of a grand jury investigation in Washington, D.C. over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Guys, have you ever seen a man more attacked and assaulted by the radical left than Trump? He seriously strikes this much fear into the hearts of radical progressives. What they are trying to do with all of these cases is strip him of his legal right to run for president against Joe Biden, should he win the GOP nomination.
I don’t think this is much of an assumption to make at this point. They’ve not hidden their intentions at all.
According to a report from Greg Wilson of the Daily Wire, “Trump announced on Truth Social that he said he got a ‘target letter’ Sunday night in which Smith’s office offered him the opportunity to appear before the grand jury this week. The development indicates another indictment could be on the way, although it does not say what charges Trump would face. He is under indictment in Manhattan in connection with alleged “hush money” payments to Stormy Daniels and in Florida, where Smith’s office accuses him of mishandling sensitive documents.”
“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” Trump said in a post published on his social media platform.

Attorney General Merrick Garland first appointed Smith back in November 2022 to probe the former president’s handling of classified documents along with alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. Both of these cases seem to be established on paper thin evidence, so again, the question every American needs to be asking right now is “why?” Why do Democrats have such such a vendetta against Trump? Why do they seem has a the embodiment of all that is evil in the world?
Simply put, he’s a threat to the vision they have for America. Progressives want to tear down the republic we all know and love. In its place, they want to establish a system of government using the blueprint left behind by Karl Marx, creating a nation that looks like South America, which is to say they want a total horror show. Because that’s what any socialist nation quickly transforms into.
“The grand jury meeting in in Washington’s E. Barrett Prettyman U.S. Courthouse is believed to have heard from Trump’s vice president, Mike Pence, as well as Pence’s former chief of staff. Marc Short; former Director of the Office of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe; White House lawyers Patrick Philbin and Pat Cipollone and several others,” Wilson wrote in his report. “Smith is believed to be focused on Trump’s efforts to block certification of electoral votes and not the speech he gave at the Ellipse just before the riot broke out at the Capitol. Although Democrats on the House Jan. 6 Committee blamed the speech for causing the riot, Trump explicitly told the crowd to be ‘peaceful’ and later tweeted to advise protesters to go home.”
A hearing for the classified documents case has been set for Tuesday, which will be presided over by Florida District Judge Aileen Cannon. Trump’s legal team has moved to delay the hearing until after the 2024 presidential election, while Smith, of course, wants to proceed right now. Along with facing these indictments, the former president is also being investigated in Georgia for attempts to overturn Biden’s extremely narrow victory in 2020.
Much to the chagrin of the radical left, Trump is currently leading the pack for the GOP presidential nomination. A poll from Morning Consult that was published Tuesday has revealed that Trump is now at 55 percent, followed in second place by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 20 percent, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy at 8 percent, and Pence at 7 percent.
