Despite being indicted, again, over charges related to having classified documents in his possession after leaving the office of president, former Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump got some good news from a brand new poll that has revealed his lead in the Republican Party primary has become “insurmountable.” This does not bode well for others who have tossed their hat in the ring, with the only candidate even remotely having a chance being Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The others probably shouldn’t have even bothered running for office.
According to Randy DeSoto of The Western Journal, “The I&I/TIPP poll released Monday found Trump at 55 percent support in the Republican presidential primary followed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at 19 percent, so a 36-point spread between the two. The next closest is former Vice President Mike Pence, who formally launched his candidacy last week, at 6 percent support and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Sen. Tim Scott, also from the Palmetto State each at 3 percent.”
Here are the results of the poll demonstrating where the whole group of candidates stand at this point in the primary race:

“So Trump’s edge, when it comes to his own party, again appears insurmountable at this early stage of the nominating process,” Terry Jones, who is currently the editor of “Issues and Insights,” stated in a piece reporting on the poll’s results.
“The online nationwide poll of 1,230 voters was conducted from May 31 to June 2 with a margin of error of +/- 4.6 percentage points,” The Western Journal went on to state in its report. “The survey was finished before both Trump’s federal indictment on mishandling of classified documents charges or Pence officially entering the race.”
What the left simply fails to grasp concerning Trump and his supporters is the more they attack him — and them either literally or through their assaults on the former president — the more people join the MAGA movement. It hasn’t sunken in yet for these folks. It becomes more and more clear that the radical progressives in our government and culture fear Trump because everything he stands for is in opposition to their agenda. He, along with his followers, are the ones capable of actually ending their push to destroy our republic and rebuild it into a Marxist government controlled by oppressive tyrants posing as societal elites.
“On Monday, the RealClearPolitics polling average showed Trump ahead of DeSantis, by 33 percentage points, so in line with the I&I/TIPP poll results. Looking back at the polls that make up the RCP average, several of them found Trump with single-digit or low double-digit leads throughout much of March,” the report continued.
After the Bragg indictment back on March 31, Trump’s lead in the polls actually went up by a whopping 30 percentage points. That’s unheard of.
During a Republican Party convention held in the state of Georgia over the weekend, the former president took aim at the DOJ’s 37-count indictment that was unsealed last Friday, calling it a “joke” and a “horrible thing for this country.” Both are accurate descriptions.
“I mean, the only good thing about it is it’s driven my poll numbers way up. Can you believe this?” Trump went on to ask those in attendance.
