The cabinet selection process for President-elect Donald Trump has more twists in it than an M. Night Shyamalan flick, as he issued a correction to the mainstream media about his choice for head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, who had claimed he dropped out of consideration. Turns out that wasn’t the case. Trump yanked the nomination from beneath him like a magician pulling the old table cloth and flowers trick.
Late in the day on Tuesday, reports hit saying Florida Sheriff Chad Chronister was withdrawing from consideration for the position. Many major news networks and publications shared the news.
However, Trump was not pleased with how the story was being covered, so he decided to set the record straight. He got on Truth Social and ripped into the headlines, providing some much needed context about how things really went down with Chronister.
“The Wall Street Journal is becoming more and more obnoxious and unreadable,” Trump kicked off his post. “Today’s main headline is: ‘Trump’s DEA Pick Pulls Out In Latest Setback.’
“With all that’s happening in the World, this is their Number One story of the day. Besides, he didn’t pull out, I pulled him out, because I did not like what he said to my pastors and other supporters,” the president-elect continued. “But, more importantly, what’s my ‘latest’ setback??? I just won the Presidency of the United States!”
“They haven’t written a good story about me in YEARS.”
The incoming president concluded his post on Truth Social by making sure he not only slammed the WSJ, but Forbes too.
“Somebody over there ought to look at what they’re doing. The only one worse than them is stupid, China-centric Forbes Magazine!” He ended.
While Trump may dispute the characterization of “setback,” his nomination process has undoubtedly been a contentious one. Reports have surfaced that as Trump’s pick for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, struggles to gain allies for confirmation, the former and forthcoming president is considering a different choice. That struggle comes after a thorny pick for attorney general, former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, also withdrew from consideration. That being said, a number of Trump’s cabinet nominations — such as Pam Bondi for attorney general and Marco Rubio for Secretary of State — are considered much more likely to be confirmed.
It seems the mainstream media just cannot accept that the American people have repudiated their propaganda creation and the pushing of the progressive agenda. When you look at the fact that Trump won all seven swing states and nabbed the popular vote on top of it, well, I think that you either have to be delusional or a complete idiot to continue on the current trajectory of the MSM. Get a grip. Your side lost. It’s over.
America is swinging back to the right. We want to preserve conservative values and apply them to our government and culture. Modernism failed. A return to timeless principles is the only way forward.
