Former President Bill Clinton is causing quite a stir on social media after his speech at the Democratic National Convention due to essentially pulling a Joe Biden. That is, his address rambled on, his hands were shaky, and he looked like the gentlest touch could potentially shatter his bones like panes of glass. And yet, while giving his talk, he managed to insult former President Donald Trump’s age by pointing the spotlight at his own.
“Let’s cut to the chase: I am too old to gild the lily,” Clinton went on to mumble in a voice that was like sandpaper being rubbed over your ear. “Two days ago, I turned 78 — the oldest man in my family for four generations. And the only personal vanity I want to assert is I’m still younger than Donald Trump.”
What was the point of such a comment? I mean really? Is this supposed to be some kind of big burn? I don’t get it. I’d say this is what the kids today call a “self-own.” He pointed out how frail and decrepit he is, which anyone who watched the speech can attest, while drawing attention to the fact he’s younger than Trump, who is actually quite vigorous and healthy. I don’t think this joke turned out t he way he thought it would.
Here’s more from The Western Journal:
The doddering Democrat then appeared to channel a Parkinson’s disease patient with his visibly shaky hands, as he proceeded to disingenuously praise Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bill Clinton told the crowd at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday that at 78 years old, he’s “still younger than Donald Trump,” turning around a line of attack Republicans used against President Biden. https://t.co/8U8TZwzEgQ pic.twitter.com/mlQdJRWr1c

Clinton has shaky hands as he speaks. He should join Joe and go to the nursing home.

Watching Bill Clinton speak (or lie) tonight I can’t help but notice his shaking hands and hear his old man rasp…. Especially after making the statement that he is still younger than Trump!

Bill Clinton says he’s younger than Trump, Bill Clinton might be younger but he surely looks older and weaker than Trump.
Trump is a stronger and healthier than Bill Clinton.— Nora Gonzales (@NoraGon93416294) August 22, 2024
So I’m not the only one to connect those dots after all.
It also bears noting that Biden critics raised his old age as an issue only after he began making a series of inexcusable gaffes and physically falling numerous times while walking up stairs. For the left, his age was somehow less of an issue than his rapidly deteriorating mental fitness.
Under the leadership of the Biden-Harris administration, Americans who formerly were prosperous and enjoying a comfortable living with lots of freedom are now strapped for cash, living paycheck-to-paycheck, and having to weigh out whether or not to sell their souls to Satan in order to afford a week’s worth of groceries. Nothing about this sounds appetizing.
Then, as if that isn’t bad enough, you have to sprinkle the border crisis on top, along with a pinch of high crime, a dash or thousand of inflation, and the potential of World War III. Mix it all up in a pot and bam! You have a true recipe for disaster.
Why would we want four more years of that?
